Mission Statement
A non-profit organization that creates opportunities in the community for individual and group participation in arts, cultural events, and education.

Organization Profile
In 2008-2009, ACE offered 87 events to almost 4,000 people, with 59 events offered free of charge. ACE’s year-round programming includes, but is not limited to, the Wildflower, Snowflake, and Telluride MountainFilm festivals, the Welcome to Winter Slide Show, Alta Gala, Local Music Series, Local Artist Shows, Avalanche Education classes, Children&039;s Art in the Mountains series, and dance instruction, monthly yoga and art classes. These experiences bring our community together to share in Alta’s arts, culture and education.

In 2008-2009 ACE expanded its outreach to the Alta School, a one- room public school in the Canyons School District, housed in the basement of The Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge, by hosting art and music teachers, museum and theater field trips to Salt Lake City and arranging extracurricular art and dance activities. ACE continued to offer two grant opportunities for community members—the Artist Grant and the WEXL Education Grant, created in memory of Bill Lennon, a founder of ACE and an inspiration to many in Alta.
