Organization Profile
History & Purpose:
United Way of Northern Utah (UWNU) was first organized as the Community Chest in 1934. Having served various geographical areas over the years, today United Way provides services in Box Elder, Morgan, and Weber Counties in Utah and Oneida County (Malad City area) in Idaho.
UWNU&039;s purpose is to serve as a community builder, partnering with various government, education, business, non profit, faith-based, and cultural organizations and foundations to advance the common good. Although UWNU serves as the principal fundraiser in the workplace for charitable causes, United Way is not a solely a fundraising organization but rather a community change organization.
